The West Ohio Food Bank believes everyone should have access to healthy, nutritious food. In the 11 counties they serve, the food bank supports more than 72,590 food insecure individuals who face hunger and struggle to put food on the table, forcing them to make impossible choices.
Hunger is not a problem that is easy to see, and may impact the families around you, the colleagues you work with, and the veterans, students, children and senior citizens throughout your community.
The most asked question of the West Ohio Food Bank is “when is your next distribution?”
To communicate directly with their community who needed access to their resources, they turned to LetsAllDoGood and are now sending push notifications to inform of public distributions and other events that support their mission to end hunger.
Jason Aldrich, Communication and Public Relations Manager explains. “This new LetAllDoGood app will send that information right to your smartphone as a push notification...Once you download the LetsAllDoGood app it is automatically on there.”
This app replaces the food bank's text alert service that will now be discontinued.
Stacey Myers Cook of Limi, Ohio based Your Hometown Stations reported on how the West Ohio Food Bank was deploying the app earlier this month.
If you are in the West Ohio area, the food bank has information about volunteering, how you can donate food, or make a financial donation on their website.
